Dear Independent Equipment Dealer:
We are www.tractorfax.org . With the database officially
launched, we are now actively marketing the project for
the betterment of the equipment industry.
From infancy, our mission has been to create a
centralized one-stop source of information as it
pertains to equipment history for only those
participating members directly involved within the
Agriculture and Construction Equipment Industry.
Accessible and shared pertinent information will
include, but is not limited to, the equipment’s Serial
Number, Year, Make, Model, Hours, Description, Owner
Info (past and present), Lien Holder Info, Insurance
Company Info, and Manufacturers Statement of Origin (MSO).
Availability of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
selling dealership, warranty information and service
records should soon follow.
As a group our advantage is participating members are
sharing their info with many others within the industry
such as equipment industry associations, the numerous
lenders and their associations, insurers and their
associations, auction companies and their associations,
other independent equipment dealers like yourself,
county, state, and federal agencies and eventually the
mainline manufacturers and their dealership network.
As a participating INDEPENDENT EQUIPMENT DEALER, one
value is you can now access and share a wealth of
information regarding your equipment with many others.
Prior to this project, you simply relied on several
outside sources to provide you with the correct
information surrounding equipment. How do you know that
is the actual hours? How do you know who is the actual
owner? How do you identify the actual lien holders?
Simply put; you don’t, yet you are still liable as an
independent dealer. Another value from the legal stand
point is all participating members are likely to be
viewed as being more creditable. At minimal,
participation in the project will serve as another layer
of insulation against your exposure and liability
issues. The immediate result is that, as an independent
equipment dealer, you no longer rely on the good old boy
system word of mouth. As for opportunity, you now have
technology in your corner.
Our approach is simple. Currently from our website,
www.tractorfax.org , the administrative login buttons,
located in the upper right hand corner of the website,
are disabled and will remain so until January 2nd, 2007.
In the interim, participating members are provided a
member login id/password which allows the member to
confidentially enter their own data online directly into
the database. Simultaneously we are acquiring electronic
bulk data from various providers and remapping that data
in a more user friendly format inside the same database.
The data will be underwritten, real time-live, and
guaranteed “no down time”.
Beginning January 2nd, 2007, from the website, the
administrative login button will be enabled-activated.
Then participating members will be allowed to access and
share the information housed in the database which has
been provided by many other participants like you.
Willingness and initiative to participate in the project
are key elements.
As an industry first, the Tractorfax.org database serves
as neutral – unbiased common grounds for those directly
involved in the equipment industry. Let us reiterate,
the project is not competing with anyone, but will
compliment all other systems of doing business currently
in place as it pertains to equipment history. The
database should be viewed as the umbilical cord for the
equipment industry.
We hope that you see the importance of such a project
and encourage your participation. We extend our hand in
what should be a long and mutually rewarding working
relationship for the betterment of the industry.
Should you have any questions or comments, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Respectfully,
Jerome D. Hamilton, President
Tractorfax.org, Inc.
